Black Cat & Standard Fireworks

Black Cat and Standard Fireworks are proud to present a cheque for £3,700 to Kirkwood Hospice.  Pictured with Kate Leadbeater from Kirkwood Hospice are Austin Brown, General Manager and Helen Ashton, Marketing Manager from Black Cat and Standard Fireworks.

The money was raised by donating 100% of all sales of the charity firework “Golden Bees” priced at £1, which was on sale at the Standard Fireworks Factory Shop during the 2010 Bonfire Night period. The Huddersfield based Firework supplier is a keen supporter of the Kirklees charity and since launching the campaign in 2009 Standard Fireworks have now raised a total of £8,350.

Austin Brown, General Manager from Black Cat and Standard Fireworks said:  “We would like to thank everyone who supported us in 2009 and 2010 by purchasing the charity firework and we are proud to support Kirkwood Hospice again for 2011 - the care and support they offer to people within the Kirklees area is invaluable.”

Kate Leadbeater, Senior Community Fundraiser at Kirkwood Hospice added: “We are very grateful to Black Cat and Standard Fireworks for their continued support; it is wonderful to receive such a large donation 2 years in a row. Thank you so much to everyone who bought the firework in 2009 and 2010 and we look forward to a successful campaign for 2011. Every penny raised will help the Hospice care for local people with life threatening illnesses.”

Black Cat and Standard Fireworks plan to launch a new campaign for Bonfire Night 2011 by donating £1 from the sale of each pack of their powerful new rockets “Mighty Atom”
