Name: Kirkwood Brick Appeal
Kirkwood Brick Appeal
The Brick Appeal at Kirkwood Hospice was launched in February 2012 as part of our Capital Appeal. This funded the refurbishment and extension of our in-patient unit, which was completed in June 2013.
The modernisation was vital in ensuring that Kirkwood can continue to provide 21st century care, free of charge, for adults within Kirklees with life-limiting illness and much needed support for their families, carers and friends.
The bricks have been a welcome addition to our beautiful gardens and owing to their success, we continue to offer the opportunity for you to remember your loved one and support the Hospice by adding your own personal inscription to our path. The path leads to a specially designed labyrinth that sits in harmony with the new building and enhances the gardens.
Your personal inscription will leave a lasting impression and show a huge message of support to all the patients, families, volunteers and staff at Kirkwood for years to come.
In return for your order, you will receive a certificate to confirm the wording of your inscription. Once your brick has been laid, you will be invited to walk along the footpath and see your inscription for yourself.
By taking part in this appeal, you will be helping to build a future of care for the people of Kirklees.
Choosing your brick
The Kirkwood Brick Appeal has proved hugely popular over the last few years, and our offering is now limited to our beautiful granite flagstones at £1,000 each.
