Open Air Cinema Events

Kirkwood is sad to announce that both Open Air Cinema events, which wer due to take place on Sunday 24th May at Ravensknowle Park and Saturday 27th June at Oakwell Hall Country Park, have been cancelled due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Kirkwood's Open Air Cinema event were set to take place at Ravensknowle Park on Sunday 24th May and Oakwell Hall Country Park on Saturday 27th June.

The following screenings were due to take place:

Ravensknowle Park:

3pm - Monsters Inc

7pm - Mamma Mia

Oakwell Hall Country Park:

3pm - Toy Story

7pm - Dirty Dancing

Following the Governments recent announcement and guidance issued yesterday (Monday 23rd March 2020) advising the general public to stay at home, only leaving the house for shopping for basics, one form of exercise a day, medical needs and travelling to and from work, we sadly have no other option than to cancel the Open Air Cinema events.

We are devasted to have to make this decision, however our main priority at events such as this is always the safety and wellbeing of our supporters, volunteers, suppliers and employees. We believe that, in the present situation, the risk is simply too high to allow us to go ahead with the screenings.

If you have already booked tickets for either showings on Sunday 24th May (Monsters Inc at 3pm or Mamma Mia at 7pm) or Saturday 27th June (Toy Story at 3pm or Dirty Dancing at 7pm), you don’t need to do anything. You will automatically receive a full refund within the next three weeks.

We are sorry for any inconvenience that this cancellation may cause you. Thank you for understanding at what is a challenging time for us all.
