Coronavirus (COVID-19): Important update regarding the Midnight Memory Walk 2020
Following the Government’s recent announcement that it is moving to the delay phase of its plan to tackle coronavirus – and further guidance issued earlier this week advising the general public to avoid large gatherings and gatherings in smaller public spaces such as pubs, cinemas, restaurants, theatres, bars and clubs – it is now unlikely that the Midnight Memory Walk will be able to go ahead as planned on Saturday 20th June.
Although no final decision has been made about the event, the ongoing situation makes it increasingly unlikely that we will be able to hold the Midnight Memory Walk this June.
As soon as we are able, we will provide you with an update about the event via email. We will also update our social media pages and our Midnight Memory Walk Event page on Facebook with the most up-to-date information. Please bear with us at what is a challenging time for all of us. We want to make sure we do the right thing for everyone in our amazing community, and our main priority at events like this will always be the safety and wellbeing of our supporters, volunteers, suppliers and employees.
We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you for choosing to sign up to the walk, as well as for your understanding at this difficult time. Your support means the world to everyone connected with Kirkwood, especially at this time when we will need to rely on each other more than ever.
