A record 1,410 walkers descended on the University of Huddersfield on Saturday 22nd June to take part in Kirkwood Hospice’s annual Midnight Memory Walk. The event raised a record shattering £148,796 to support Kirkwood’s vital work across Kirklees.

A big thank you to all 1,410 of our walkers, who turned the streets of Huddersfield into a sea of green as they helped us to smash last year’s fundraising total.
The Midnight Memory Walk, sees families, friends and strangers coming together to share special memories as they make their way around a six or 10 miles route.
As well as raising vital funds for Kirkwood, the Midnight Memory Walk brings the whole community together for an unforgettable night of fun, laughter and tears.
About the Walk
The Midnight Memory Walk is a circular six or ten mile walk starting and finishing at the University of Huddersfield. Registration and live entertainment will start at 9.30pm with walkers setting off at midnight. The walk is suitable for all abilities and you can walk at your own pace. It's all about having fun, remembering special people and making new memories with your loved ones.
Once you sign up, you'll receive a confirmation email detailing your order. We'll then process your registration within a few days and contact you again to let you know when your pack is ready.
Once we''veprocessed your order, you will receive a walker pack which includes a t-shirt, information booklet, a sponsor form and a walker number. There is no minimum sponsorship requirement; all we ask is you raise as much money as possible. All money raised helps Kirkwood Hospice to care for people with life limiting illnesses across Kirklees.
Pre-event registration has now closed for the Midnight Memory Walk, but you can still take part! You can sign up on the night, with registration desks open from 9.30pm.
On the night registration fees:
Adults: £11 / Children (16 and Under): £7
Dogs (which must be kept on a short lead at all times) are more than welcome to take part in the Midnight Memory Walk at a cost of £5 per dog. This £5 includes a medal and a goodie bag for your pooch.
