A Kirkwood Nativity

On Friday evening, one of Kirkwood’s In-Patient Unit nurses, Anna-Marie Wilkinson, put on a very special performance along with theatre group – The Huddersfield Thespians.

Patients, employees and volunteers were treated to an abridged performance of the Flint Street Nativity free of charge in a special performance at Kirkwood Hospice.

The 1990s original, written by Tim Firth and directed by Marcus Mortimer, sees adult actors portray a group of children as they prepare and present their school Christmas play.

The Huddersfield Thespians’ witty rendition was performed in full at the Lawrence Batley Theatre over the Christmas period, but made sure to bring a laugh and a smile to our faces this Friday. Thank you Anna!
