Kirkwood Hospice chosen as FMG’s 2019 Charity of the Year
Dedicated business supporters, FMG, have chosen Kirkwood Hospice as one of their 2019 chosen Charities of the Year this year. Having only been fundraising for six months, Kirkwood is delighted to receive a cheque of £3,000.
FMG, Huddersfield based incident management specialists, have been dedicated business supporters of Kirkwood Hospice for many years and 2019 is no exception as the company choose Kirkwood as one of its Chosen Charities of the Year, along with Forget Me Not Hospice.
This is the second year the Bradley based company have chosen Kirkwood as its Charity of the Year and are keen to offer their support in any way they can.
Andrew Chandler, FMG Sales Director and FMGive Executive Board Sponsor, said: “Over the last 6 months, employees here at FMG have gone the extra mile and hosted a variety of fundraising events, raising an impressive £3,000 for patient care at Kirkwood.
“FMG’s charity fundraising team, FMGive, create an annual fundraising calendar of activity to encourage hardworking staff to let their hair down and have fun whilst supporting their local community.

“They recently hosted a Charity Race Night for colleagues, and hold regular dress-down days, book events, sweepstakes, bake-offs and raffle sales to boost funds for the Hospice.”
Employees also have the opportunity to volunteer for Kirkwood supporting events and campaigns, including its flagship event earlier this June.
“FMG’s volunteers supported the preparations for the recent Midnight Memory Walk and have more volunteering days planned throughout the year” said Donna.
“With more exciting plans for the coming months, including a quiz night and festive ball, there are plenty more fundraising opportunities ahead as we work towards our fundraising financial target.
“FMG are proud to work in partnership with Kirkwood Hospice to support the local community.”

Kirkwood Business Partnership Development Manager, Kate Leadbeater, is delighted to be working closely with the local firm for another year.
Kate said: “FMG have become an instrumental part of the Kirkwood family over the years, continuously offering their support in any way they can.
“Their generosity, through fundraising and volunteering, makes a huge difference here at Kirkwood and in the local community and I’m really looking forward to continuing to work with the FMGive team.”
