Kirkwood Hospice’s Open Air Cinema event on Saturday 27th June cancelled

Kirkwood is sad to announce that both screenings at our Open Air Cinema event, which was due to take place on Saturday 27th June at Oakwell Hall Country Park, has been cancelled due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Following the Governments recent announcement and guidance issued yesterday (Monday 23rd March 2020) advising the general public to stay at home, only leaving the house for shopping for basics, one form of exercise a day, medical needs and travelling to and from work, we sadly have no other option than to cancel the Open Air Cinema event.

We are devasted to have to make this decision, however our main priority at events such as this is always the safety and wellbeing of our supporters, volunteers, suppliers and employees. We believe that, in the present situation, the risk is simply too high to allow us to go ahead with the screenings.

If you have already booked tickets for either showing on Saturday 27th June (Toy Story at 3pm or Dirty Dancing at 7pm), you don’t need to do anything. You will automatically receive a full refund within the next three weeks.

We are sorry for any inconvenience that this cancellation may cause you. Thank you for understanding at what is a challenging time for us all.
