Kirkwood, which provides specialist care and support for people affected by life limiting illnesses in Kirklees, will use the donation to upgrade their onsite mortuary at the Hospice.
The Morrisons Foundation was set up by Morrisons supermarket in 2015 and awards grants for charity projects which help improve people’s lives.

Morrisons Community Champion, Debbie Creaser, presented the donation at the Morrison’s Huddersfield store.
Debbie said: “Kirkwood Hospice is such a well-known and well respected local charity. I’m really pleased that we were able to help them with this donation.
“I genuinely hope that it will make a difference to the patients there as well as their friends and family; everyone who is supported by the great work they do. Helping local charities is at the heart of what the Foundation is all about and I’m so happy that we can provide this support.”

“Our primary concern is always to treat people with dignity and respect. This commitment is just as important after patients have died. We are extremely grateful to the Foundation for their remarkable generosity.”
