Party Time at ASDA raises funds for Kirkwood Hospice
The ASDA store at Dewsbury was the setting this summer for two Coffee Morning parties, which collectively raised £756 towards funds for the care of patients with life-limiting illnesses at Kirkwood Hospice.
Located in the trolley bays at the store’s entrance, the parties also helped to create and reinforce awareness for the services provided by Kirkwood within the local Kirklees community.
Currently celebrating its 30th Anniversary, Kirkwood Hospice offers special Party Packs with a host of useful fundraising ideas and materials for individuals and companies, who like ASDA, are interested in raising funds for the care and treatment of patients.
Dawn Walker, Kirkwood Hospice’s Lottery Manager said: “We’d like to thank ASDA, Dewsbury, for their continued and loyal support to Kirkwood Hospice.
“The parties held were a huge success and it was rewarding to see the generosity and engagement from shoppers and the local people of Dewsbury, who stopped by to find out about their local Hospice.
“We are so grateful to ASDA’s Community Champion, Sharon Kingswood and Store Manager, Michael Sutton, who have been invaluable in helping us achieve our aims and spread awareness of the Hospice. We can’t wait to work with you again in the future!”
