David lives in Almondbury. After a number of years in the automotive manufacturing industry, David has worked as a management consultant for over 25 years – most of the last ten of which as an independent practitioner.
David specialises in the leadership of major business process transformation programmes through the implementation of ‘lean’ principles and major enabling technologies, including enterprise resource planning systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle). David is currently leading the UK business programme of a major SAP implementation for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical groups – a role that requires significant travel in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
David is one of Kirkwood's newest Trustees. Although new to Kirkwood, he has many years of governance experience through his 10-year involvement as a school governor at King James’s, where he is now vice-chair of governors. He is also Treasurer at St Paul’s Methodist Church in Dalton.
When not working or otherwise engaged, David enjoys (endures!) working out, mountain biking, hiking and mountaineering – with a bit of gardening and DIY thrown in for good measure.
